National Baccalaureate
EISB

Our objective

In Baccalaureate we place the student
at the centre of all our activities.
Our main objective is to educate them
in a consolidated curriculum of academic
excellence which is constantly updated
and led by an expert team of teachers
who work in an efficient, coordinated and,
above all, motivated manner.

Our guarantee

The experience of fifteen graduating classes
who have already passed through our school
is our guarantee: we know that our students’
success is based on having access to the best
teachers and a baccalaureate programme suited
to their vocation and abilities. All of this is
accompanied by close tutoring and based on
trust between pupil-family-teachers.

It is essential that, given the world we live in, the guidance our pupils receive is precise and accurate so that, in due course, they are all clear about their objectives and the path to follow.

Ours is a baccalaureate of academic excellence which opens doors to the university world in the best possible way, especially providing our pupils with a high level of knowledge in languages (English, French, German and Chinese).

Bringing you closer to University.

We have collaborative links with different national and international universities that allow students to enjoy experiences and benefit from contacts who can help them better understand their options for further studies: we offer them workshops and seminars so that they can not only learn, but even see inside the world of the university they may choose later on.

In addition to the universities, former students who are already in the job market, professionals from different sectors and teachers from our centre form the backbone of our orientation programme, a key element for any student of baccalaureate age.

Itineraries of Baccalaureate

There are many options for students to choose from within our range of Baccalaureate as we know how important it is that students select the best pathway for their interests.

One of the keys to our Baccalaureate students’ success is that they are motivated to learn, taking the subjects that will best prepare them for university.

COMMON SUBJECTS

In Baccalaureate, the common subjects are taken by all pupils and are an important part of the programme, as there are several subjects which are taken over a two-year period and which will be assessed in the univeristy access exam, Selectividad, within the General Phase, therefore making it compulsory.

In our curriculum, we offer three hours a week of languages instead of the two recommended by the official curriculum, so that students can take these final exams with maximum confidence, under the guidance of teachers who are experts in the subject.

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME

The Baccalaureate at EISB is characterised by a myriad of projects, resources and strategies to support students in order to improve their performance.

We consider attention to diversity to be one of the elements that best help each student to achieve their goals.

This is particularly relevant at a stage when, after learning and training as an essential element, they are faced with the need to obtain the best academic results in order to gain access to the university of their choice.

LANGUAGES

In addition to the English classes which are part of the curriculum, pupils can continue to learn languages by taking French, German or Chinese classes, depending on their interests, in the afternoons with our teachers.

It is at the Baccalaureate stage when students complete the language project with official qualifications; hence the importance of being in good hands at this time.

Our teachers bring a great deal of experience as proved by the the success rate in obtaining official qualifications in all the languages we work with.

FLEXIBILITY IN ITINERARIES

Are you having difficulty in finding the itinerary that best suits your interests? Don’t worry, we are experts in personalising pathways and we have experience in this because we know that the most important thing for the student is to find the options that best suits their interests.

Usually, flexibility arises in the 2nd year than in the 1st year of Baccalaureate, as the student is then more mature and prepared to make the decision to undertake a pathway with some deviation from the original one.

FLEXIBILITY IN ITINERARIES

SUPPORT CENTRE

The school offers families access to our Support Centre which provides any help necessary to all students who require it.

Sessions take place in the school itself and with teachers who are members of our own staff, which helps us to easily and safely manage all communication and coordination.

INTERNATIONAL AS-LEVEL

INTERNATIONAL A-LEVELS

Ours is an international school in which national and International education systems coexist.

This means that a pupil can be studying the national Baccalaureate and at the same time take a subject from the British system in the first year.

They can choose between Mathematics or Business depending on their interests and the pathway they are on.

Students in this class are taught by an English speaking teacher of the subject.

At the end of the first year, students who wish to do so can take the A-Level exam in the subject, which certifies that not only do they have a high level of English, but that they are able to study subjects with a wide range of specific vocabulary at pre-university level.
